Owner of Enhance Studio Medi-Spa Kristie Moore (second left) and her mother Lynn Moore (centre), founder of the business, are joined by naturopath Dr. Theresa Camozzi (second right) and employees Belinda March (right) and Chelesay Babiy.
It’s been 30 years since Lynne Moore opened the doors of Enhance Studio in Vernon.
Moore started with a modest home-based business. Two years later, her daughter, Kristie Moore, joined her and they ran the Vernon esthetics studio for 10 years until Lynne retired.
“We were an incredible team,” said Kristie Moore. “We have been pioneers, attending progressive treatment certifications, and we hold a long list of firsts here in Vernon.
“In 1990, we were first to bring permanent makeup to Western Canada. Over the years we have added tattoo removals, fat freezing, nonsurgical face lift, high intensity focused ultrasound for skin tightening and fat sculpting and much more.”
Enhance has since become incorporated, and Moore is now an accredited clinic instructor, specializing in permanent makeup, and the clinic has been certified as a medical spa.
“I have surrounded myself with an amazing team of specialists in their fields,” she said. “They offer all of this in a beautiful commercial location with a warm and inviting environment. We have definitely come a long way since the onset of the business.
“And we are trailblazing again, welcoming Dr. Theresa Camozzi, a board-certified naturopath, to our team.”
Camozzi is bringing a new treatment to Vernon called mesotherapy, where tiny amounts of natural medicines are introduced into your skin, with a goal of building collagen, tightening the underlying structures of the skin, and improving circulation to help skin glow.
As a naturopathic physician, Camozzi looks at the whole person, and their lifestyle, from diet to sleep quality.
“It is a kinder, gentler, more loving way to care for yourself,” she said. “Naturopathic medicine offers a sensible complement to conventional care. It is undeniable that how we live, eat, breathe, love, sleep and care for ourselves affects our health and well-being.
“As a naturopathic doctor, I can take a fresh look at your lifestyle and offer you insight into how it is affecting your health. I can offer an educated opinion on natural treatments and therapies. And I can create a holistic plan that may get you feeling your best.”
Camozzi is a graduate of the four-year program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. She has also passed the Naturopathic Physicians Licencing Examinations from the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners. In addition, she has been granted prescribing authority for pharmaceutical agents in British Columbia. She holds certifications in acupuncture and in mesotherapy for facial rejuvenation, fat reduction and body contouring.
She completed her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Calgary and participated in an exchange with the University of Groningen in the Netherlands where she had the opportunity to work in a molecular genetics laboratory. She has also completed all the requirements for the certified Bowen Health Therapist training from Bowen College.
Moore is proud of every member of her team, and looks forward to continuing to provide the wide range of services that her mother began in 1986.
“From our heart to yours, we would like to thank Vernon for their patronage and supporting us over the years,” said Moore. “We plan to continue being a steadfast fixture here, and are very proud to call this city home.”
